Hi,
You have uploaded a saved game, not the actual map... |

Hello Ibobs this map crashed when I play it on a multiplayer game, so I fear that was the only way I found to play it: playing as a saved game. If you want to explore the map you can open the former version. I apologize for this problem. [Edited on 04/11/09 @ 02:02 PM]

This seems to be the Single player version, if I am not mistaken.
Anyway, I must admit my expectations weren't high from this map. First, the author, Yeiael, hasn't submitted a map before. Second, anyone with poor a map-description of "I hope you enjoy" would probably not be able to generate that much enthusiasm inside the map as well.
I wasn't going to download, but out of sense of 'duty', I did.
And did not regret...
I don't want to go to great detail here, but the map is really well made. Upon opening, the editor reveals great skill of the author in mappainting. There are even things I haven't seen before, like the use of the Orc houses in the surface east. Certain use of decoration is used consistently, which provides a very unique atmosphere. There are old mapmaking tricks used that only few know. I begin to suspect this person may not be so new after all...
Anyway, there are events, lots of them! There are custom heroes (not much, though), and custom items!
Is it a perfect map? Not really, there is almost no story (probably due to the authors lack of marketing skills... :p). The heroes, which to me are a very fun aspect of the game, are very few (i.e., losing one means playing without a hero).
I can't really comment on balance, as the maps' design is very complicated. I did notice Saints being readily available, which is always a bit concerning to me.
In sum: go download!!!! |

I downloaded it, by curiosity, and Swolte is right. The map has a unique atmosphere, it reminds me a little bit the Anarchy and Treachery scenario.
If I had the time I would give it a try in PBEM, but I have not :(
The map is well finished, it does not have areas half-worked or completely empty. |
