Playability: 3
I was able to play it, but I really didn't have much fun. Being this is your first map, it is completely excusable. Other parts make up for it.
Balance: 4
What can i say? It's.. balanced!
Creativity: 2
The terrain is boring. For your next map, try to use more lush terrain. I will say, however, that the story compensates for this. Character names are very imaginative, which I find very important. You pull off character development well. But, as with ALL maps, there is room for improvement. Have him interact with locals. Have the knight proclaim his master to the human city to the west. It's cool to do, and adds lots of spice :D

Don't be afraid to use elevation (I tell everyone that). Here's a tip. Take the elevation up button, and hold it down in one spot until the terrain wont raise any higher. Then, select the deelevation button, and on the same spot, hold the button down. It's neato, and you can play with the crater you make. It's ok to have big, vast forests, you seem to be very afraid to do that. Just make sure to put in a few hasteberry trees, or dunegons, you know, something to keep them busy in the woods. Maybe a nymph or two :)

EXCELLENT! Obviously the best part of the map. I live journal records your adventure as you go along. VERY nice touch, it adds a very AOW1-ish appeal to it, making it more Morrowind and less HOMM. Not saying AOW2 is HOMM, but.. *sniper shot to the head*

Without a doubt a great premise and storyline with good events too. The only problem, as I see it, is not enough attention to the aesthetic elements of design. |

Playability: 4
Not an easy start (for me), but as with all SP maps, patience wins the day.
Balance: 4
Very good, until the final mopping up stage. Constant threat from AI until then.
Creativity: 4
Nice ideas, and I DO enjoy campaigns.
Map Design: 4
Plenty of thought went into this, I expect it generated even more ideas for later parts of the campaign.
Story/Instructions: 4
Nice idea, easy to follow, easy to know what is required and why.
Additional Comments:
Spent two very contented evenings on this, and look forward to the next scenario.

A very good scenario, and while the map could use some more work on it (in terms of looks), its story and playability make it one of the best scenarios available on AowH (IMHO of course). Keep them coming please!
A minor thing - I managed to defeat the Tigran wizard pretty quickly (got lucky I suppose) and suddenly the reinforcements started coming... a little late to change anything. Is it possible to spawn them only if the wizard is alive?

Short and fun map.
Balance: 4
Quite balanced, except the Tigran player is rather weak and the monsters guarding ruins and nodes are too strong (Phoenix and Earth Elemental) for such a short map.
Creativity: 4
Nice names and layout.
Nice too see independents raiding the NPC player trying to invade their area.
Map Design: 3
Nothing that strikes the eyes one way or the other.
Story/Instructions: 4
Nice story, with quite a few blurbs popping up.
Additional Comments:
A solide and fun map.[Edited on 11/11/06 @ 02:24 AM]
