"We shall not capitulate... no never. We may be destroyed, but if we are, we shall drag a world with us... a world in flames."
The world is set aflame again, this time sparked by the sudden expansion and hevy mobilization of germany under the command of Hitler. Europe burns as the russian bear sleeps and with a war in the east and a frozen political climate - the flames are growing higher.
Somewhere, an atomic bomb is being developed, colonial empires are beginning to crack and cthulhu sleeps deep in R'Lyeh.
Take control of one of eight nations, on the edge of the ravin known as worldwar two, axis or allied, in this grandscale strategic and diplomatic scenario. Stay neutral, spread propaganda, enlarge your colonial empire, drop the a-bomb or try to repent India's independence! You have the chance to decide in which way the worldwar will go - in a high fantasy world!
The Nations at war:
Germany
Russia
Great Britain
Italy
China
Japan
USA
Argentina
Depending on what Nation you choose, your role will be anything from decisive to supportive and from a battle of survival to a battle of expansion!
Features:
* Massive Scripting makes sure your actions count
* Real World Heroes and Leaders from WorldWar 2
* Gamebalance has been well tested
* Special events (like the us a-bomb atrocity) keep the game alive for longer
* Special Loss conditions
* Heavily tested AI to make sure the world runs without your interaction
* Yet it will react to your touch if you try to control it
* News Coverage Events gives you the history you make, not a linear story
* Single and Multiplayer was both given great care during the whole creation
* Events support Worldwrap! No more flat world!

I'm sure this map is very cool - it sure looks like it, which is why I downloaded it, but I cannot even get it playing... when I try to play it, it never even loads the screen where you decide with what wizard you play, and the editor just won't load the map. It has probably something to do with the huge size of this map - and I should add my computer is rather old and weak, barely meeting the AoW2 minimum requirements... |

this is somewhat strange. but it is indeed a heavy map, utilizing the binkplayer, custom graphics, and massive amounts of troops. It was made and tested on a 1ghz laptop with a lousy graphics card, why i believe it *should* work on some machines... |

This is amazing, a lot of work to collect all the pieces for the evnets and all the customized pictures.
And here is my problem. I would love to lay this one in a PBEM game, but the savegame from testing is nearly 4 MB big....
no problem for me, i have a 100 MB mailbox and a DSL connection.... but i'm not sure if i find someone to play against... will try and then write some further comments

CamelRider,
I am always a big fan of your maps. I love all your maps in aow2, especially "refugee war" which I played quite a few times. I dont usually play a map for second time. I am sort of RMG fan guy. I load this map once, I am stunned by the work and effort that you put into it. No double this has the most content map ever in AOW history! However, for two things I didnt play on.
1)I dont like a modern theme on AOW game(very personal preference though)
2)I like some building up process before large scale battle. This map is a bit overwelming to me.
Hey, have you considered to make refugee war 2? I would suggest you bump up the difficulty a bit this time.
Again, big thanks to all the maps you contribute to aow community, and I am truely waiting for your next map.

Can't start this map (no wizards to select) or open it in the editor.
Tried both UP 1.4 and totally unpatched versions with same results.
Any ideas? My computer is much better than the minimum specs. |

I started this scenario and was really enjoying it! Playing Hitler because I like the Archons.
Then in turn 22 Roosevelt used a boat to move a unit to one of the relays sitting in the ocean. On the relay were two units (independents I think). As the Roosevelt unit left the ship an endless loop began. The unit left the ship, left the ship, left the ship, etc. Several times a second. This never stopped.
I tried going back several turns but the endless loop occurred again (this time in turn 21)
Another glitch I noticed is that most times an earth elemental was hit during manual combat the game crashed to the desktop.
I was playing with the 1.3 patch installed. I'm curious, would this be the cause?
Great map. I hope I can play it completely some day.
