The premise is simple - 4 wizards, only 5 cities on the map, each with a wizard's tower. Each wizard starts off with equal funds and forces - all have cities with many advancements already built.
I envisioned this as being a map with an emphasis on strategy - since all start with equal forces, I think it means that the person with the best strategy/technique - both in and out of battle - will come out on top. Because of this, this map may not be the best for PBEM, where fast combat pretty much turns this into a "who can build the strongest army first" kind of map. One other thing of note is that various computer AI settings will disrupt this balance due to the various bonuses they recieve at higher levels. Personally, I think the map is best suited to multiplayer online or hot-seat, but I suppose you could try it however you'd like.
Anyways, I hope this is an enjoyable map, but no guarentees, b/c it's my first time! I guess it's possible I could update it in the future if I get any advice/ideas that would warrent it.

Map Design: 1
Well balanced and very challenging in a multiplayer context, but not very interesting. Just 4 cities surrounding a fifth, with most of the already small map being covered with water. Immediate combat, large cities, makes for fast and somewhat dull games.
