One of the (sadly...very very few) scenarios for the glorious 1.5 patch - now in the Director´s Cut
As mentioned in the Description, this new version adds a bit of everything to the already fully packed scenario.
Nothing to change the original gameplay but a few more spices and minor balancing adjustments.
Most importantly (now as I´m writing this I remember my very first changes some months ago): All items powers very reduced sometimes significantly sometimes a bit - for one special reason: To improve the significance of the extremly powerful runeblades that are something like the heart of the scenario.
It should be worthwhile completing the individual runeblades quests and this was not really the case in the original map which was overloaded with way too powerful artifacts.
Some structures, quests and other stuff was added to spice up the scenario a bit more and to even further increase the anglo-saxon taste of the setting.
In case of a pbem game, I´d recommend always one bad player less then good players (ideally are maybe Saron and another evil guy vs 3 of Alba´s Lairds.
Loading Scenario still doesen`t seem to work.
What patch exactly do you use?
Patch 1. 5, 1.5 enhanced, evolution mod 1.5.148 and patch 1.4 don`t work.
Always adored your work and would like to join your scenario.

honestly it´s strange that it´s not working for you?!
I´m still using the 1.5 patch and nothing else (I don´t know about enhanced) I created this scenario almost 10 years ago on an early workbuild but it also works fine on the finally released 1.5 patch version.
I´ve been playing the map very recently with a bunch of friends in pbem (they even downloaded all the required patches after more than 15 years of absence from the game :D) and all worked fine for all of them...
Do other 1.5 maps (there ain´t many...:( ) work for you ?

Hmmm,I don`t know what I`m doing wrong. As you, I deinstalled and reinstalled the whole game including all necessary mods. When I try to launch your scenario the loding progress stops in the middle, that`s it.
Nevertheless many thanks for your answer.
Still will go on trying to fix it anyway...:)

just saw the recent post from voose as I was thinking about uploading another strongly enhanced version of the map (I worked on it in the past weeks to make it more enjoyable in pbem or single player mode by enhancing the evil wizards if they are played by AI)
I still don´t know why some people seem to have problems loading the map.
After installing the original game with Patches 1.3 then 1.4 and finally 1.5 you have nothing else to do than starting the map.
you don´t even have to select different resources in the setup as 1.5 becomes the new default after installing the patch.

I guess you may have general issues with the game maybe ? or is it only with this particular map... ?
because you need to change some things in the AOW Exe to run the game on modern PC´s etc...

I am usually good at figuring out puzzles but I am stuck on this one. A wizard shrunk my party and sent them underground. I was able to create the potion to restore their size but I can't get out of this 'prison'. Any tips?
