This is a call for help. Couple of months ago a massive archon army appeard out of nowhere the the union's territory. They quickly crushed our resistance and razed several of the union's cities. The arcon force is being led a mysterious man by the name of Icaros. We have been driven undergroung and we are hiding from the forces of light. The elves have allied with Icaros and they are now under the control of the "sungod". The neutral races have not yet decided what they do with the situation, but i'm pretty sure that the White One will ally with the archons. Three days ago the archons razed the city of Dementia and we're in a danger of being overun. Our forces have retreated to an old union cave. I'm asking you General Stryker of the orcs and you master wizard Xander of the dark elves to come to our aid.

This is the story of the scenario. The map is filled with unique heroes which all have interesting background stories. The map itself if filled with details, suprises, secrets and much much more. Can you find the depths of hell? or the garden of eden?
The scenario is at it's best when played with a friend - one taking the role of Xander the dark elf master wizard and on taking the role of Stryker the experienced orc general. Both leaders have a group of skilled heroes which all have a story behind them. You can also play the scenario alone and set the ally to be controlled by AI.I have left the options open so if the player want's he can take the role of any wizard in the scenario.
This is my second map and I have used images which i have downloaded from aow2 heavengames Thank you very much for the portraits they will bring mone unique look to this scenario.
Please comment and tell me what did you like and what did you didn't like about my scenario, so my third scenario would be improved.
A fairly straightforward scenario, but it moves along nicely. The terrain is fairly flat and it only takes a few turns go a long ways across the map. Take a look into map engineering that helps you section off portions with terrain blockers. This makes it more difficult to invade the territory of a rival, but that can cut both ways. That dang Shargoth Black keeps stealing one of my mines and I don't want to commit units to sit on it.
Balance: 5
I played as the White One as being a neutral character allowed me to pick and choose my alliances. No one seems to have an overwhelming advantage, although for some reason all if the AI players were picking on Boudica.
Creativity: 4
I liked the custom wizards and heroes. A lot of thought went into it. A few events and a little more map terrain designing would make this even better.
Map Design: 4
XL maps are ambitious and yours is attractive. One thing I'd like to have seen is more 'city engineering' along the lines of the City Dwellers scenario recently posted. But I like how I came into contact with other players within a few turns. The fact that there are lots of Recruitment Sites meant I could focus on growing my cities quicker.

LOL! Imagine me feeling sorry for the evil races. Those Archons are such bullies. A Hero with a weapon called the 'Saint Killer', very nice.

Hi Partaholic, thank you for sharing your game. I like to play AOW using Kirky's wonderful Brave New World Mod, so my experience is based on playing through that Mod. I want to encourage you to continue mapmaking. It is clearly something you enjoy and you have a knack for the story telling part of it. I look forward to seeing more of your maps.
