Hey everyone!
Here is a spreadsheet of all the spells that can be found with Age of Wonders Shadow Magic 1.4. Included are three spreadsheet docs. The formats are *.xlsx, *.xls, and *.odp ... also known as, Office 2007, Office '97-'03, and Open Office (Created with Open Office 3).
With the Microsoft docs you can sort (asc/dsc) the 150 (+17 Skills) spells by any of the following criteria:
*Spells - By spell name. There is a sortable spell list on both sides of the doc due to the width.
*Sphere - By spell sphere
*Level - By spell level
*Page - By what page of the spellbook the spell is on. (Global, Enchant, Combat and Skill)
*Category - Sub-classifications I came up with to break the spells down further. (Attack, Aura, Curse, Dechant, Enchant, Heal, Mastery, Misc, Summon, Terrian and Skill)
*AoE (Area of Effect) - How much the spell effects. (+1 Hex, +2 Hex, +3 Hex, Battlefield, City, Domain, Target, Wizard, and World)
*Duration - How long the spell lasts. (Combat Rounds, Days, Battle, Until Disbanded, Permanent and Until Removed)
*Research Points - How many research points each spell takes.
*Research Points (-20%) - Values with scholar.
*Research Points (-36%) - Values with scholar and enchanter/summoner. Despite what the tool tip says, enchanter and summoner do not negate 20%.
*Mana Points - How many mana points it takes to cast.
*Mana Points (-10%) - Values with channeler.
*Mana Points (-30%) - These values are with enchanter/summoner researched. The in-game values are +/-1, to 30%. The values in the doc should be accurate.
*Trade Value - Roughly how much the spells are worth to the computers. Same values whether paying in gold or mana.
*Description - In-game descriptions of the spells.
Interesting things I found out while doing this:
* The computer will give up any spell for gold/mana worth roughly 2.2 times the research points it takes to research it. (Also denoted by the amount of mana it takes to send the spell)
*Enchanter & Summoner only gives a 16% decrease to required research points for respective spells (At least when used in conjunction with Scholar). (Required Mana to cast is correct at 20%).
*Almost every game I started and cheated through, (to get a lot of my data) at least 1-3 random spell/s just weren't available for research even though I was fully a single sphere. The number unavailable would increase depending on if there was a shadow realm (shadow movement spells available). (One normal game playing as full air, I didn't have my mastery spell). I don't know what causes this.
Anyways! I hope this is useful to someone. I had fun making it.
Enjoy!
