Map I made to play against my friend in online. Usually when I make these small maps I discard them after few games against my friends (they don't offer too much game experience after few games).
After a while of pondering I came into the conclusion of uploading them here as I make some number of them every year (well, at least I used to). Well... that is till there's some invisible teleporters available.
This is for UP 1.4 (I had the opportunity to do it for BNW or 1.4 and I flipped a coin to choose) so I don't know whether "pro online gamers" here can even think of playing this. :P
And especially as I'm just a casual player.
This is also very quickly and badly painted map so I don't know whether "pro map maker/player/chillers" want to even take a look at this. :P
Nevertheless, I'll upload it here. Some "might" even "enjoy" this map. ;)
This is small map with multiple paths to go around. Wizards start with two quite strong heroes (lvl 8-9) and several units making this very fast in 1vs1. Guards are relatively weak for optimal fast combats and saving main troops against your opponent. Underground and surface are literally symmetrical in terms water, mountains and for buildings (well few buildings are off...), but map painting varies (I didn't say it's good!).
I think this map is not suitable for PBEM because of immense amount of recover units and weak independent units. Lack of real story and moments that would make this map alive might make it boring for single playing (well, you can finish this map basically in 20 turns so it isn't too much time wasted).
Balance... eh, well. I dunno. While playing we noticed that Brumbu won four times out of six rounds. Main reason might be steam tank in the very early games. But two out of six games Brumbu got literally wiped out and fast. So I really don't know how balanced it is.

Other then the annoying lightening storms the map is very playable.

Seems like this map can allow the AI to survive and thrive for an extended period.
Creativity: 5
An ODD mix of attributes for the wizard's and landscape that is quiet fresh and fun.
Map Design: 4
Interesting design and navigation.
Story/Instructions: 4
A little limited in this area; but more then advertised.
Additional Comments:
Plays ok as a single player map with an Emperor AI. Might suggest peacekeeper for Goblin so can use the good nature units generated by Call of Forest and in keeping with his role in the story.
I also had to open in editor and resave to make it work.

Once again, A M's approach of measured randomality will provide balanced results in general - but not surely in your specific game.

Recruitment events can get broken and provide troops for free.

Short original story and a lot of atmosphere.

A chaotic and unique flavor :)
