Part 3: The Use of Tutorial Message Events

Let's say when the game starts, you want to give the player a longer rundown on the background or story behind your map. You can make use of Tutorial Message Events to do this.


Set up your start-off message as shown below. There's no need to set additional conditions. As you can see, there's no need to specify the day for which the message will trigger because in this case. the message will appear on the start of the new turn and only once throughout the game. You can specify which players you want the tutorial message to appear for as well.

The tutorial message event is also useful if you have longer messages for the players during the process of the game. However, you will need to further adjust the trigger conditions to fit the smooth running of the gameplay.
