This is an extensive rework of my previous Viking themed maps. It includes many new quests and areas and a complete reworking of the ai forces. You must have Unofficial Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic 1.4 patch installed to play this map.
The geography and historical signposts are as close to real life as I could get, but things like the quests and dragons etc probably aren't. The map is created with multiplayer in mind, but I have added various bonus's for all ai controlled sides to make it more challenging for the single player.
You must resist the viking invaders. If the vikings don't own any towns after turn 100, they will be considered defeated.
If you set the level of the vikings to less than emperor it will reduce thier spawns dramatically. With emperor setting not only will the Vikings have larger attack forces, but they will be able to build forces very quickly if left in control of any towns.
Disabled some structures, only your capital is capable of building a wizard tower and level 3 units.

The Viking Age is the name of the period between 793 and 1066 AD in Scandinavia and Britain, following the Germanic Iron Age (and the Vendel Age in Sweden). During this period, the Vikings, Scandinavian warriors and traders, raided and explored most parts of Europe, south-western Asia, northern Africa and north-eastern North America.

The differences between that version and this one are mainly a big reworking of the hostile ai forces and the addition of several quests and areas for each race.
I made the map with multiplayer in mind, the idea being trying to balance your forces between defence of your own land from the viking attackers and any war's you have with the other playable wizards.
