This is an old version of "Rocky Divide TE" which made 3rd place in the 2009 mapmaking competition. This version is less streamlined, less balanced and probably still has a few bugs. Also, it still includes a shadow world level and an independent wizard one can trade spells with. A feature, that can be easily abused I suppose :)

For the better experience I recommend you look for "Rocky Divide TE" or the version which was eventually used for the mapmaking competition to be found in this scenario collection "2009 Tournament 1v1 mappack".

Complete redesign of the shadow world and parts of the underground. Many issues have been fixed, lots of things changed. Map plays considerably better now.

This is a small 1on1 map with three levels. It's designed for two human players, but you you can certainly play it against the AI as well. I just don't know how that is gonna turn out.

Since it's a multiplayer map there's no story included. Sorry.

The idea of the map is to spread out as quickly as possible and gain control of the power nodes and resource buildings placed inbetween the players' starting positions. However, keep in mind that your enemy is always just a heartbeat away.

I kept all cities at random and wizard selection and customization is also allowed. This might certainly result in slight (dis)advantages on either side, but I guess it should all equal out at some point.

There is one AI player (cosmos sphere, 1/1/1/1/1/1) for the sole purpose of exchanging spells with, thus making things a little more interesting. It's a human/neutral player so that all races should at some point be able to have decent relations with it.

One more thing: Choosing a (pure) good/evil race might require picking the peace keeper trait from the start or researching it as early as possible since the starting heroes and most recruitable units are neutral.

I'd be very happy about any kind of feedback, suggestions, ideas etc.

Cool map! Inbteresting design and not bad for a first time! Why don't you work on it some more, perfect it, and submit it for the mapmaking tournament?

I am serious, it looks like a cool map to play for the upcoming pbem tournament, and we will use maps that are included in the mapmaking competition.
