Although Clash of Civilization is the first map I published, I did work on some other maps before that one. Although I never made those available they still are playable and that is why I decided to place them here. These maps served mostly as trial maps, so I could learn more about the map painting. You should thus not expect a perfect map with a story, nice custom heroes , nice descriptions and so on. It is just the basics. Why do I publish them anyway?! Well to be honest I don’t see myself working on these maps anymore. I am busy with real life, playing pbem games myself, and currently working on another, bigger map. Since I think it is a waste to leave these maps on my computer I decided to make these maps public. I’d like to think they can provide some nice gameplay and perhaps could even inspire other mapmakers.
Map has been updated with following changes:
-Added new heroes named after AOW players.
-Added underground paths between players (Credits to Ibobs and Dafyth for the changes)
-Some minor tweeks in balance
------- Lost – Shipwrecked-------
LS is a medium map for four players. All players start out in one corner and people can choose between the Orcs, Archons, Dark Elves and Elves. The map has triggers supplying the Ai emperor with more units then the human player so this should be more challenging. Still the map is mainly designed for pbem. There is no story and no custom heroes. Just a plain map.
For a multiplayer map, I'd say one cannot expect more. There is nothing uniquely here about the playability, so on a 10 point scale it would have been a 9, but it did play very well.
- Defenders were set right (nothing overdone).
- Positioning of structures always led to interesting things to do each and every turn
- Multiple interesting ways of getting to your enemy.
- High replay value
- Great variety of races
I gave it a 4, because there are recruitment sites which are basically empty. This is quite confusing at times. Also, it would have been fun to recruit some of the new v14 unit content.
Great, I'd take any side! The map is quite safe in the sense that its symmetrical in the balance design.
The game we played was decided by skill, I think, and not so much by advantages created by the map.
Love the terrain!

Could have been some more.
