After some years of absence I decided to do another map.

Due to the development in Modpacks and Patches I decided to bring back the depth, so, here it is.

This map is converted from my AoWI-Map which I did years ago. The converter did much of the work, I just made tha map playable for AoW SM and spiced it up a bit, not too much.

I left the citie's names untouched, so that everyone can see which cities were left from Depth I (german names) and which cities were added (english names).

So, here's the story:

The quest for the legendary precious is finally over. King Galli “The strong” found it, but did not take it. He left it right where it was. It came to him that wealth will destroy the stability of the valley. He did his best to protect the precious again so that nobody will ever be able to pick up the buried treasure. At least he thought so. A few years later Galli died. By the next 200 years the treasure was kept safe. Then the big meteorite crashed into the valley and several earthquakes shook the country. It was the time the valley changed.
Poverty and Fear ran through the Peoples from the valley and another 200 years went by until the valley has been settled again by different races. What once was doom for the peoples had finally made the country fertile.
As time went by a rumour caused men, halflings, orks and highmen to begin a new effort to finally bring the precious to the surface.
What was quite easy 400 years ago has now become a difficult and dangerous mission, because Gallis protections were numerous….

This is the english version of the game, for the german version drop me an email ( I decided to translate the map so that a lot more people have fun with the scenario )

One note for strategy: First of all conquer the City in your "edge" with the same alignment, then go through the teleports to the next corners and raze the teleports on the opposite sides.
When done so you maybe have to sacrifice your units, but it is worth the effort.
Then take your time to bring your corner under control. Then cross the lake and take the beachhead on the other side. Then start exploring the center.
Good luck with finding the gold and bagging the loot.

Great to see the map converter in action. Too bad it doesn't do much terrain detail but it does keep the original strategic design in place. I didn't know this map, but (apart from Webusvers map) I have not seen that many cities packed together in while!
Should be interesting and probably ages of fun if every battle is done in TC!
