IMPORTANT: Please save the map from time to time to avoid frustration later on bcoz some events are irreversible!

ABOUT THE MAP: First true RPG map. A Solid storyline spanning more than two scenarios. Presently only one scenario is designed but work on next will start shortly.

STORY :

'Raznipul: The Demonlord' and 'Anzara: The fire queen' are the rulers of the void. Through tyranny, they have the void under their control. The dreams of conquering the world are ripe in their mind but this is not possible without opening the Titan Gate that separates the void from the World. The Titan Gate magically binds the void throughout and has three powersources / 'keys'. ODROSOL i.e 'OD', 'Ro' & 'SOL' keys are the powersources of the Titangate .If they are moved from their original positions, the TitanGate will lose it's power .Anzara and Raznipul want just that thing to happen. Both of them are powerful in the void but do not have any power outside it. So they also build three powersources in the world with the help of The Nagas, The Orcs and The Goblins. The only thing remaining is to shut down the powersource of the TitanGate. They are successful in doing so ( You will come to know how when you play the map) and all hell breaks loose as demons start popping out from the void into the world. Their mission: Retrieve the keys, the powersource of the Titangate to their masters. Raznipul and Anzara plan to use the powersource of titangate to their own benifit so that they can have a hold over the world also. Now that the Titangate is open, to close the gate, there is a ' Main Titan Key ' that is heavily protected. The mission for Marcus is: Go to the Void, destroy both the devils and restore peace in the world. Some potential allies will help you defeat the enemy in the game.

Please Do not use These Spells in the map:
1) Bind Summoned
2) Shadow Shift
3) Mastery Spells

Hey Morgul666, thanks for the review. The map, as mentioned by many people is very easy to play and almost everyone have suggested me to replace Popo(That's what the little guy's name is. Hermie is the leprechuan).

Actually I have made an update for the map but it seems that I screwed up the events (which are severly disorganised.) This update resolves the balance issues and makes the gameplay more challenging.

Also some new quests are added (Check my thread in scenario design folder for info on these quests) but they seem to be screwed up.

I will update the map after few days. Keep track of it. IT's gonna be like 30-40% increment in gameplay.

Hey Ecthelion,

Thanks for your comments and rating the map. Hope you all people liked it. Lands of Gornia will be more on strategic and RPG play. I have planned the main details out. Now I have to think of some subquests. The map will take months to design. Probably next august or september will be the release date.

The url does not work bcoz html tags are disabled here IMO.
you3 I like it but now I am stuck. Having reached the orcs around turn 240 - i cannot load saved games. I can load games prior to 240 (have one at 237) but when it gets above 240 (not sure if 240 is the exact breaking point or if orcs is causing it to break) I cannot load the saved game. The load bar fills in but then the music stops and it hangs (i can wait 10 seconds or 30 minutes). If I hit esc the game exits. Not sure if there is a log or something somewhere that will indicate the problem... I want to see how the story turns out but alas ...

Well, that's the first time I heard of such a problem. I dont exactly know what the problem might be. The basic thing is that the map is too heavily filled so the slower systems cannot handle the load. Maybe the experts might be able to help you. So sorry for such a problem.

Do not be dejected. You can always request a save game file from any player who has this map. I would suggest you to not miss the climax of the story.

Very fun to play! Constant shortage of resources (well, for about half of the game), under siege nearly 'till the end, I love it!

Balance: 5
Pretty much balanced. Well, it's actually entirely possible to defeat all "rampaging" demons (which I guess were not meant to be battled) but that's only for murdering bastards like me. Worst was the stack of 6 lords and some minor demons. Took me some time to finally defeat them with minimal losses but it was fun. ;)
When someone is not playing like me, I guess it's pretty much balanced.

Creativity: 5
Great idea to use scripts and independents as "the enemy"! Something I didn't see before.

Map Design: 5
Beautiful!

Story/Instructions: 4
I only played as Marinus so I don't know anything about the other wizards. They were mentioned in one event and nothing else. Wtf were they? Dunno. Maybe there should be more background to them. Also there wasn't any event when I finally whacked that goblin shaman. Nothing about ending the attacks or something. It also wouldn't hurt if there was some non-violent way to finish this. Like "giving him" his ring back and forcing the attacks to stop? Also I missed the magic relay in Shire so the monastery didn't work for me. Didn't know why. Did I miss some ingame instructions about this or there are none? Well, these are the reasons why I give only 4 and not perfect 5.

Map was freaking great. So good, that I've bothered to create account here to review it and praise the creator. ;)
I hope there will be a sequel as mentioned in the ending.

Hey aku666, thanks for playing the map. The story was originally designed for Marinus. But then I thought why not pit in other two wizards with different storylines for replayability purposes. In the earlier version of the map, I forgot to add dialog for the Shaman. I think I also have not added the events that stop the attacks on the main capital of marinus. Actually im a bit busy nowadays and very lazy to add anything new in previous maps.

About the monastary association, you have to capture the magic realy to become a part of the association. In the sequel of the map, there will be more new associations. Joining them is not compulsory but it will be of added advantage to be a part of it. In Lamington, the bishop asks you to join this association only if you have the specific amont of gold and if you have captured the magic relay.

ABout peacefully getting the ring back, do you think goblins/orcs have that much brains? If they had em, wouldnt they be reigning the kingdoms?

There will definately be a sequel for the map, infact im working on it slowly. The designing part takes a lot of time. I have completed almost 35% of the land and 20% of the underground part. There will be a definite storyline for all the three wizzies and it will be playful, exciting and complex. Hope I can contribute more time to mapmaking.

Thanks for reviewing my map. It's guys like you who keep us fueled for making new maps. I really admire people like you.

Ecthelion_21 If you only play as Marinus, you'll not meet the other wizards, because you don't fight against or with them. It's like you fight "next to" them.
The story connects the three wizards to eachother. You'll see that if you play a few turns with Kandor and Wortan, after you have beaten the game with Marinus. :)

Wow, really fun map Sausud. Definitely one of the best single player maps I played so far. Any updates on Lands of Gornia?

Thank you very much for your review. Hope you enjoyed the map. Lands of Gornia is under construction but im not getting any quality time for finishing the map. Hope to finish it off asap.
