Playability: 3
(Who like to play a quiet map vs feeble AI opponent can enjoy it ! You have time before fighting vs AI opponent. Good map for beginners)

Balance: 3
(no village in the forest near Serena, 2 wizard towers for Skulkan... starting position are unbalanced but XL size map make this not really important)

Creativity: 3
(A lot of good stuff but not really linked between)

Map Design: 5
(Five because I think this is the field where you have made a really good work ! )

Story/Instructions: 1
(no story, no event, few quest : this map could be really better with it)

Additional Comments:
IMO no really challenge BUT the good design of the map (and the password protection ;) give me the desire to see all the geography of your map.
Indies are dangerous (and it could be a good idea if AI wasn't so feeble... all heroes of the AI died at the beginning of the game and even few wizards was killed (Gabriel in mine))

You have duplicate some heroes (Elme, Avernus...) : bad idea ! the fun is in the unicity of the hero figure (I have 2 Elme in my army :( You should create new hero.

The Archonian fellowship... was not a good idea (AI can't recruit them and human players don't need 4 "free" archonian heroes to win the game)

I hope you will working on new map and I suggest you to work on Large or Medium maps 'IMO XL is really too big in general', take time to add events and create new heroes and wizard figure... and the dream could become true ;)

Playability: 3
Nothing realy negative here. Nice to play. Like most huge maps, it becomes a little boring after some time. So I vote only for 3. Some realy hard events can help here.

Balance: 4
Nothing realy negative. You can play and win with avery race. Thats good. the events are nice too.

Creativity: 3
Tolkin rules your mind. I don´t like it if a mapmaker gives names to locations that are not corret placed with the Tolkin land. But that is my kind of thinking. I would not make a Tolkin world map if not every detail is correct but I´m impressed how much you must like the Lords of the rings storry. You have a good imagination of landscapes and for you it youst be nice to read the books. Do you have read the Silmarillion and Forgotten storrys and Messages of Middleearth too? I recomment to read them. they would ispire you.

Map Design: 4
Not all is perfect but much more than in most other maps that have a 4 here.
Positive is the work for the heros.

Story/Instructions: 2
Here is not much storry and Instructions.
this devaluate the map down but it is not always importand to have a mighty storry and many instructions. If I would design this part of the voting had not so much points 1/5 is to much for this because it devaluate a map to much and it is not as importand as a nice Landscape or balance for example.

Additional Comments:
I´m a mapmaker myself and I know how it feels if you get negative or positive feedback. Maybe my wishes for a perfect map are impossible. Maybe my demand is to high. I think I´m a very good mapmaker and I´m maybe a little proud. But let me say something.
something is missing in this map
BUT:
This is one of the best maps I have ever seen for this game. The desingn is nice, the Landscape is much better as in many highter rated map. Rating and voting doesn´t say all about a map and this one is better than the votes prvide!

And let me say something to all who dares to vote for a map. Please girls & guys. Take a look at the work behind the map. A bad map does not become fantastic if there are nice events but it is much work to make events and here they are not many but good designed.
I homour this work.

I I should give a end vote I would say this map is worth a 4,1 not a 3,6 like I have voted but the storry instructions devaluate it to much and if I compare this map with many much more worse maps this need to have a 4,5.
but that where to high if I compare it with very good maps, like some of mine ;-) hahahaaa.

This is realy a good map!

Download this map and play it!
It is worth to play it and I hope you find the inspiration to make a new map in future.

Additional Comments: The Map is simply brilliant for long hours of playability. The design and creativity are marvellous. The map areas are contrasting and provide a wide variety of landscape. What I specially liked about the map is the Hero portraits. They are astonishing and give a strong 'Warrior' feel to the heroes. I have got more than 12 Heroes at my disposal and I feel like a real king..Alloting the zones (west, east, north, south) to the heroes for protecting.

One thing was irritating but...I tried taking a big army to Skulkan's territory but the Fire storms cause a havoc and I lost most of my army there. I spawned 6 Effrets and 1 lightning ball to erase the teleporter but this army was not sufficient enough to raze it. My god!! I was so frustrated. IS there any other way to reach Skulkan?

One thing I found unique about this map was the frequent spawning of Indie heroes at different places in the map. Kudos for the Northerling heroes in the north. I will try to recruit as many of them as possible. Overall, the map is brilliant, even if it does not have any storyline as such. Why do you need a story after all? Just select your wizard and enjoy the map.

For Prince Nicola - If this is the first map that you have designed, then I would say that you are a sensation in creating a feel for the map. Expecting more maps like these from you. take care.

Agreed with Sausud. The map is excellent. I've played a newer version (http://aow2.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=911) and could name it maybe the nicest map I've ever played. The diligence of the author is inimitable -- there are really more then 200 heroes there, and almost each of them has his own description, sometimes very long and pretty humorous. But the scenario isn't just trinket, it was tough enough for me in the beginning: only one city (I've played for Elves), very few nodes, constant attacks of Goblins and Dark Elves (damn teleporters!), annoying and very cool area guards... Nothing was easy, everything was challenging and thrilling. Thanx a lot.
