First of all, this is a four-player mp and pbem map, with a fifth AI player. Races aren't fixed, but I'd reccommend playing with the default ones. I don't have any more instructions for how to play it. I do, however, have some depressed ramblings that I'll post further down in this section. I doubt anyone's interested, but hell, I'm gonna write this anyway.

Alright. First of all, this is really more of an experiment in terrain design than a map. I'm fairly happy with how most of the surface turned out. However, I just can't be motivated to write for it. I haven't been able to write lately, I don't know why. I've got some ideas..
I've been slowly losing interest in SM, I can't stay focused on the same map for a long time, and I've been unable to write much of anything for quite a while now. There are other, more personal reasons that I don't quite understand and I'm not willing to share. Also, school starts again in less than a month. It's grade 12, my last year. I don't know what I'm going to do when I graduate, and I'm TERRIFIED.
So, anyways. This might be the last thing I upload. I don't mean to be dramatic, or pretend that's really important, but the -other- map I started is pretty big, and I probably won't be able to finish it at all. So, on that note..

Goodnight, folks.

sausud This happens most of the time when you go in for a 4+ rated map. Long hours spent in perfecting the product and adding eye candy makes life a hell. What I would suggest is take a long break and come back fresh on map designing. You are a good mapmaker ( also a winner of the mapmaking competition). Sort out your personal problems and when finished, you come back to map making. This way you will not lose interest in the game.
The only person that shows that v1.5 should really have more shadowland structures! It was never my favourite type of land.
It never ceases to amaze me how you make these lands get that eerie feel over them. Excellent!

It's not my favourite map by you. I mean, after your previous masterpiece, this seems nothing more then some try-out of terrain.
I hope you'll find the motivation and patience you seek!
awegust Psykitty, this is a foxy map w/ a lot of potential. I'm particularly impressed w/ the sinkholes you've got placed throuh "X-Treme" terrain manipulation-- they really do like like giant pits in the land. Animal boneyards or something, or giant unroofed caverns.

The problem as I see it: this map is utterly desolate. What is there to preserve here? In Zombie Stories, we were Abigail gathering the remnants of the post-Apocalyptic society (or playing the Princess... Mu was it?). Here... Well? What was the narrative line you wanted to follow? What makes this war worth fighting?

Maybe you should approach this map from the narrative point of view. Think of the paths that you expect your players to take, and then develop the terrain according to those predictions. I see you haven't written a single map Event, and that's not a criticism. Just an observation.

Good luck!
