This scenario is actually an extended version of a map I made earlier, but I changed a good deal about the old map to give this one more chracter and gameplay.
As before you can play as the good guys:
Elrond of Rivendell(Elves)
Theoden of Rohan (Humans)
Denethor of Gondor (Archons)
Or the bad guys:
Sauron of Mordor (Orcs)
Saruman of Isengard (Orcs)
Emperor of Harad (Nomads)
Each side start as allies like before.
This game is not balanced, and its not supposed to be. Sauron is (of course) far more superior than the other wizards, and so are the evil wizards altogether. In return the good guys play an important key role.
As before this game is actually centered on the fellowship of the ring, and frodo who carries the One Ring. He must find a way to destroy the item the One ring, in the fires of Mount doom. And therefore comes a brand new trigger event in: If the Item the One Ring is brought to Saurons firenod, the Good guys win! But in return, if the ring is picked up by an evil character, then the bad guys win. So it is all up to the good guys, not letting the bad guys catch it!
It may therefore seem like the bad guys rule either way. But the good guys have tougher heroes such as Aragorn, Eomer, Faramir, Gandalv etc. And they have also the posibility of destroying the ring in mount doom.
Like mentioned above the game is mainly focusing on the wizard Elrond, and the fellowships adventurous journey. In controlling the fellowship and following their actual adventure route, you will be able to discover that different events occur. Such as Gandalv's death and return, the army of the dead, merry and pippin taken capture etc. Only by playing as Elrond will all this special triggers apply.
There is nothing wrong by playing any of the other wizards(It could actually be very exciting, especially in multiplayer mode), but if you play a good wizard other than Elrond, your life hangs in Frodos hands. But if frodo dies, and the ring is not picked up by an evil character, all is not lost. Any good charachter can pick it up and continue the dreadful quest. If nothing of this happen and the ring stays hidden, the wizards have to destroy each other the ordinary way.
So it's then up to you to choose among your favorite hero or villain from Tolkiens wonderous world. The fate of all is controlled by the One ring.
So let the War of Middle-earth begin!

It's ok, the only wish is that there were more events.

No comments, I think.

I really liked your custom heroes. Was very sad about Boromir's death.

This map is nice.
Story/Instructions: 5
This 'story' can't be less than 5.
Additional Comments:
I really enjoyed the scenario. Killed zounds of nazguls. But as far as I remember there were only 9, not more.

I really like the scenario, no bugs I could discern. It could however be somewhat more of a challange, as the good guys and especially Elrond are too strong. So defaiting the evil wizards without going for the destruction of the one ring is too easy even at emparor level (see Balance for more details).
Balance: 4
The scenario is too balanced compared with the books. What I have missed was the hopelesness of the good guys because of the strength of Sauron.
To be more specific:
- Saruman and Sauron as wizards are too weak. Saruman in the books is stronger than Gandalf the Grey, who starts as a level 14 hero. Sauron should be even harder to defaut. Please take Galahad_2nd's really good Middle Earth scenarios as a reference.
- the hobbits are too strong compared to all other heroes. This makes the fellowship strong enough to defeat both Sarumon and Sauron with little to no support troups (Merry killed the With King all alone in the later stages of the game).
- Elrond has too many cities and too much gold. I never had much ressource issues. Compared to this, Sauron has not enough troups (and cities).
- With King should be stronger (e.g. physical immunity)
Creativity: 5
I rate it 5, even though it is "just" a LoR scenario, as I like the setting in general.
Map Design: 4
- Overall I have liked the map design (especially the Nazghul appearing near the Shire). there are some minor mistakes, Gandalf is named Gandalv, Orcrist can be worn on the head, Saruman's staff and Legolas' bow should be useable instead of shields. Gandalf also should have his staff, Theoden should not be able to recruit Easterling heroes. I have also missed Galadriel. Also, the Nazghuls should not respawn after Sauron is defeated.
Some other issues which would help from my point of view:
- some of the Elven Cities Elrond controls should be independent at least at the beginning for a better balance.
- Umbar is missing (maybe just a naming issue)
- dwarven settlements should be stronger and not limited to outpost size (Iron and Blue Mountain dwellings).
Story/Instructions: 4
Some more events would have helped the gameflow.
