An ancient pact has been broken. One of the six protectors of the sacred elemental keys has failed in his duty. Now six wizards descend upon the complex locking system that is Legacy Isle in hopes of claiming the artifacts hidden in the vaults below. From the south and from the north, two fire mages, once allied as the Flame Touched, now rivals for the power of the island. From the south a demigod of the southern pantheon who must prove her worth to the Amazon tribes through conquest. From the north an earth magic wielding orcish prodigy has united the tribes to claim their ancestral treasures. From the west a nation of holy men ruled by the iron fist of the child of their god who will convert the land at all costs. And from the east, a demon brought to this world by a horrible accident and now bent on bringing ruin to all.
One of them will have the power to do with the whole world as they see fit. Wisdom, magic, strength, and steel must put the keys to their purpose. The power of the Legacy awaits you. Are you ready?
(Mapmaker’s notes: 6 player map, best played in a free for all game with allied victory off. Don’t expect a short game. No independent cities and no starting cities means you’ll have to build your empire yourself, brick by brick. Pioneers are provided and reinforcements will arrive by boat on turn 15. This is another one of my 3 race picks maps, so don’t be surprised by the diversity of your pioneers. And remember, all aspects of each wizard were customized by a player for their own personal play style for a private competition according to predetermined rules. Also there are vaults arranged around the map in a pattern calculated to cause maximum conflict between players. Entrances to vaults use old style cave entrances. Keys open vaults. Vaults contain either an item or another key. Vaults are guarded based on the strategic value of the item. Islands that have the sword vaults on them are scripted to preserve their terrain against Path Of X abilities, storms, and other terrain modifying spells. Map not intended for play against AI, but it’s still possible. Best of luck and have fun out there.)
Well, I really enjoyed this map and wish that there were more like it. It is simply a well balanced map with some interesting "quest" features that encourage you to travel the map.
It may have been better off without the Shadow Realm level, doesn't seem to add much to the scenario.
It is an empire building scenario so I find there is a little more variety and replayability than most maps have.
Job well done, I'd really like to see more maps from this designer.

ehe, well first time I attempted all settlers start out with drowning = AI gives up in round one...
only running 1.4+Wizards&heroes3... is there some extra addon you're using?
