It was not a desirable ending, but it finally happened.
Global warming has destroyed the Frostlings' lands and their ways, forcing them now to live in caves of ice and snow that were now melting under a scorching desert. As the Frostlings died one by one, the wizards saw the oppoertunity to loot the relics of a now dying race. Unfortunately when 5 greedy wizards go forth to collect their share of the booty, there would be undesirable consequences. Seeking to control either the Frostling settlements or their mines, the stage was set for a new war that couldn't make things any worse for the Frostlings, who were now being pushed to the brink.
This is a humongous map with 12 fortified frostling settlements in the middle of the map, surrounded by 30 mines. There are 4 ways to win the game:
Path A, the Way of the Conqueror: the easiest, it means that you destroy all other enemy players.
Path B, the Way of the Merchant: this involves obtaining 40,000 gold before any other opponent does.
Path C, the way of the Expander: this involves capturing ALL 12 frostling towns on the map. Not an easy task unless you can create and expend the appropriate amount of units
Path D, the way of the Explorer: capture all 30 frostling mines to win
P.s. to other users: feel free to make and submit improved versions of "Gold Rush" to aow2.heavengames.com-however, you should (in the scenario itself) place a signpost, stating who you are, what the new changes are and the date final adjustments were made.
