An extract from 'The Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic';
"...as the troops bore down on the Sunbirth Mountains in the closing battle between the free races of the Blessed Continent and the Shadow, Megrina made the momentuous choice: to raze the Halfling settlements around Lake Mugasus to deny Merlin the food and supplies he would need as a last-ditch effort to halt the eventual extirpation of the Shadow Daemons. However, a new hero has arrived on the scene, intent on ensuring that the Lakes of Mugasus would never run red with the blood of innocents..."
Fixings (& updates):
14-6 May: I've just updated this scenario completely. Others complained that it was unplayable and thus I've decided to make it up to all of you, by reworking the whole map, and scripting ONLY the single play version.
NB: apart from the Unofficial Patch 1.4, it also reqs. the Heroes&Wizards 3 mode by Webusver, otherwise....some of your reinforcements might die horribly.
P.s. to other users: feel free to make and submit improved versions of "Megrina's March" to aow2.heavengames.com-however, you should (in the scenario itself) place a signpost, stating who you are, what the new changes are and the date final adjustments were made. Also report back here of broken links so I can fix them. I'd like to know what else can be done as I had not the time to playtest it thoroughly.
The map is unplayable. Alexis wins on day 1, game over... :(
And since the map is password protected there's no way to fix it.

This is flawed. Five starts, five Turn 1 wins. Whaaa???????

I was going to look this map over to see if it was suitable for email play but it has a password. This is rather odd as the author gives us permission to make variants of the map but doesn't allow us to open the map in the editor.
There are some balance problems, and the map spawns troops over and over again, making it tricky to get used to.

MAgog et al: it's been fixed, the map has been thoroughly reworked altogether. It's still incomplete as I've only had the time and motivation to give Alexis 4 sets of reinforcement during the game. Over time, I hope to improve the map's ability at dropping reinforcements into the game.
For starters, I've given Alexis only 4-8 stacks for reinforcements (as compared to the 20 or so stacks Megrina gets), as I felt that with such open spaces, Megrina might easily be picked off in just 30 or so rounds.
