The time came that the younger races wanted Change. A time of sorrow a time of dying. A time of grief a time of war. Filled with anger at centuries of religous dogmatism the so called "Neutral Races" went to war. War against Good and war against Evil none would be spared. This war has raged the last four centuries, and in these outer regions it would come to its end...
The Endtimes are here its time to give up hope and do what is needed.

Play the map with Frostlings (Dhiel-Air), Tigrans (Ashut-Fire), Humans (Mesmera-Water) or the draconians (Pulker-Earth).
The Frostlings have it easier on the map and the Human is the prime target for Fons invasion.
The top level contains a lot of water, so due to the strange boat a.i do not expect to much of the non played races. The undead will eat them.
Hope you enjoy the map.
Thanks to the people who gave me some feedback and thanks to Dlanor who has played this map a bit to much...

The map looks really nice, it must have taken a lot of time to create it. There are many events and stuff as well, but some of them are very annoying... If you flag certain structures, some undead units are spawned into your territory. Why? It's not fun, it's just annoying. That, and the fact that XL maps become unplayable after 30 turns on my computer, made me stop playing.

Thanks for the review.
1. If you flag certain structures, some undead units are spawned into your territory : this not realy correct it is not your actions that provoke the spawns but the actions of the three other playable races, and then only 2 spawns at most per player. Why ? to bridge the time between the exploration and the expantion phases of the game and to point out the later invasion route.
2. That, and the fact that XL maps become unplayable after 30 turns on my computer, made me stop playing.
Yes its a known problem there is a workaround explained in the scenario overvieuw.
3. When you gave a 3 for balance did you take in account the the two non playable races or only the 4 playables. If you looked at the Undead and the Syrons I agree but the 4 others are very well balanced if I say so myself.

Map Design5.0
Playability: 5
I've just playtested the map in a huge PBEM game so far. But it's great fun. Not to easy and always with a little surprise (spawns). I haven't looked into the editor ;-)

Balance: 4
As far as i can see both players have the problems with indies and Fon the Almost.

Creativity: 4
Just 4 Points, for missing Hero descriptions and less story elements.

Map Design: 5
Absolutely great, i saw something new, that inspired me.

Story/Instructions: 4
The story in general is ok, but is not that present in the game.

Additional Comments:
Again good work ! Keep em coming. Esp. due to lack of good XL maps.
Chascal I've played this map as Pulker (Drac) with a friend playing Ashut (Tigrans), pbem, blind!

Nothing to say about the landscape, good design!

But the map wasn't hard at all... I expanded faster than my friend and reached the 2 Nomads villages quicker than him.

Fon only attacked me. The 3 other wizards were left alone.

Fon was never a threat. I used full sea-based strategy, all my Heroes had Floating or swimming, most of them had 30 cp, I had 3 Galleys, only 1 Red Dragon (I stupidly lost my 3 baby dragons), Elementals with Water Walking...
I was losing 80 mana/day, but had already researched several wizard's skills and so if I didn't research anything, I gained 40 mana/day, in spite of Power Leak.
Stacks of 5 Reapers + 3 Bone Dragons were easily destroyed! Same with Stacks with Gloutons... very often, 1 Glouton is killed by a single Hydra!
Hydras with Stoneskin, Enchant Weapon & Fury do a lot of damage.

I captured Rampart at day 59, without even losing 1 single unit.

But there's probably some bugs with the map, as very often, the independents never end their turn...

We stopped playing at day 70. Rampart is producing Sphinxes, my northern town is producing Red Dragons with Regeneration, my Human town Air Galleys, in the underground, a Dark Elf town can produce Incarnates...

No AI-player can stop a human player with all these advantages.

But really, I had to replay my turns way too often to try to avoid the "freezing independent" problem.

I have a savegame before I end turn 70, I can send it to you if you want.
I've just played a huge battle, with Damnation active, and again, no loss but 3 Shade trapped!
All I have to do is click on "end turn", but if you do that, then the game freezes.

Chascal thanks for taking your time giving the revieuw. I know of the freezing problem, I didn't know what caused it when making the map. Know I know its caused by triggers going of in the indepent turn. The rotten part is that it doesn't always hang. I've played clean (turnbased) hotseat games using this map. Just curious what difficulty level where you playing on ?. And yes please send me the save so I can take a look how you were playing it. .
