The other reviewers pretty much nailed this one. I just wanted to thank Magnus for making a map I had such fun with. The starting positions are not perfectly balanced (it seems to me the corner positions have an advantage,) but that's to be expected on an 8 player map. I would add that unbalanced starting positions are not necessarily a bad thing - this adds to replayability in SP mode.
I'm also not fond of long distance teleporters, (seems to make moot the supposidly important strategic doctrine of securing your rear areas.) Though you can always nuke-em if you don't mind stranding a stack of your guys in a distant land to take on the Spirit of Magic vengeance squad that pops up.
All in all a very well done map, bravo!

Late in the forties as far as turns go, the game hung
during the undead (black) turn, and again after I
reloaded it. Too bad as I was enjoying it, after
choosing Elves (centre of the map) as a challenge.
Not necessarily the fault of the mapmaker of course,
so this isn't a review.
