This is a great highland map for those who can stomach high capacity requirements, it has lots of beautiful alpine scenery (read synopsis for more info), and has plenty of resources. A great map for those who can use races that generate mountaineers and flyers.
I played with a 4E/2L Goblin Summoner/CS in place of the orc.Julia was really nasty and put up the best fight, with treeman sorties behind my lines and iron maiden charges for my tower. But after I killed her, there wasn't any challenge.Megrina suprised me a couple of times with the teleporter, but Artica and Alexis both offered peace as soon as they saw me.I wasn't anywhere near their alignments.
Are you supposed to play as Megrina? That would explain some stuff.Artica seems way too weak, and captured 3 cities the whole game.Alexis on the other hand, already controlled a third of the map by the time I saw him,and it was on someyhing like turn 28.
The stuff that's there is good. The new wizards were both unique.
Map Design: 3
I hate to give this a bad score, because the layout of the map is beatiful, esp all those forests. But those ice storms gotta go.Way too many of them, and the A.I. gets stuck on the triggers, just running in place. And they'll pile up there. Some tiles will have 20 units on them, which you have to fight in groups of 3 or 4.It's real bad when they pile up in cities, making you assault the same city 4 or 5 times. And as you clear off all those units,it triggers an ice storm, usually on top of these stacks that just weathered all those combats.Losing experienced troops to shit glitches sucks.
Story was good, what I saw of it.
Additional Comments:Until those ice storms get fixed, conquering the whole map ain't worth it.I didn't finish this one because I didn't want to just bumrush Alexis, which was the only feasible option.
