land of gohm 2 picks up the series of events which follow in the footsteps of the age of wonders 2 scenario land of gohm. This scenario is played on a continent, with varying terrain and regions - most of it waste and desert's land today.
-> I tried to create an xlarge scenario with fewer cities and restrictions on the cities present in order to prevent the "massive" amount of toplevel armies which were a common sight in land of gohm.
-> The scenario features some sparse scripting, to thicken the plot =).
-> 8 possible players
-> All races are present on map - but one race has no cities.
-> This map is unbalanced
-> All three levels were used, although the shadow realm was used sparsely
-> The resourceset íncludes two altered unit graphics, now representing new units, which are not buildable but will be encountered during the scenario. It also brings in a lot of heroes with odd hero graphics and finally, it contains a lot of pictures for show message events and terrain graphics.
Several years have passed since massive fleets of refugees landed on the west shores of Gohm and a desperate war was fought between the western refugees and the wild tribes of Gohm, defending their homes.
The war, as well as time itself have left marks on the continent where we are today.
The tribes live on, peacefully, side by side with the once expansionistic Elga Alega, the elven alliance, looking up to the massive mountains of Mir, where a powerconflict recently broke out into civil war. Meanwhile, a sinister leader crashes his boat on the cliffs and strange letters arrive to the remaining westerner fortresses present on the continent.
A new war is about to break out, but this time, it involves the whole continent. And maybe even more than that...
Tried the map. I'm a big fan of Land of gohm and as such was looking at this favourably. Only one problem. When running the map with the custom resources camelrider provided, I get all kinds of graphic screwups . Tried the map without the custom res and it ran fine. I have run other custom resources (including my own) and never encountered this before. It garbles the area where your wizard picture is on the toolbar as well as causing the mouse to have dragging images of itself. Very strange. Looks like a good map otherwise.

How can I play this with version 1.0? I get trouble with unsupported resourses. Is there any way to make it workable with this version?

I can't get the scenario to load, either with default or custom resources. When I try to generate the scenario, nothing happens. I don't get an incompatible resources message, and it seems like everything will load (the little bar pops up) but then nothing occurs.

I can't get it to load either. Got the "incompatible resources" messages running SM unpatched and SM 1.4 starts loading the map and then just hangs.
