You can choose between 8 fractions in a battle for ancient Europe: Romans (Humans), Celts (Elves), Carthaginians (Dark Elves), Greeks (Arhonts), Teutons (Orcs), Persians (Tigrans), Huns (Goblins), and Finns* (Frostlings). Starting conditions are unequal: “Civilized” Mediterranean nations obviously have some advantages. But the population density and lack of space would force them to fight each other soon, while “barbarians” of the North have more time to research powerful magic and build their armies. You can “model” Greek colonization of Mediterrania and wars with Persia; Punic wars, Caesar’s Gaelic campaign, growth of Roman empire, and finally the great removal of peoples and crush of ancient world.
* - this fraction can be replaced by the Slavs (Halflings) fraction, which is now unplayable because of the wizards number limit

Fun map and playing as the Teutons, the Romans and Greeks were very strong and I lost most of my cities. Really refreshing with a more aggressive AI after having played the bland Wizard's Throne campaign.

Balance: 3
As a SP map it's not balanced at all, since the AI can hardly use boats and there are lots of islands, both large and small. So much of the resources are off limits to the AI players.

Creativity: 2
What can I say? It's a map of Europa. Would have like to see custom made heroes instead of the generic ones.

Map Design: 4
Looks pretty and good use of elevation. The AI's fear of boats are a bit crippling, though, so next time I play it I'll make bridges at Gibraltar, the Bosporus Strait and connect Denmark to Sweden and Germania to make sure all the players can expand and clash with each other.

Story/Instructions: 3
No story, and none really needed.

Additional Comments:
This map was unplayable with Wizard's Throne, due to the Boat AI. It's much better with SM and should be even better after editing in some bridges.

Nothing to add to the reviews above really.

However, I think the story is not significant for this type of scenario, so I've rated it 5 (not to spoil the average score). :)
Sefear Wow A great map! One of the most fun I've had playing a custom map. I've only played as the Romans but I really like it. Very challenging from the position with the Cartegians (or whatever they're called) Sending 3 or more Wyrms my way every turn (by around day 70) The Celts are very hard to defeat because of their forest's you are slowed down and gives them more time to regroup. But I found taking our the Greeces a little easy because if you send about 3 galley's loaded with troops to Sparta, then you can easily make your way to Athens. Kudos on such a good map.
