Eight Heroes seek to control a seemingly unimportant island, each having his own name for the small island and his own reasons for claiming it. One says it's his birthright; another just doesn't like his neighbors -- whatever the reason, each hero is determined to expel all others.
Unfortunately for the heroes, the island has caught the attention of several powerful wizards who also want the island, seeing it as a very strategic location. These heroes, not wanting to share the land with anyone, have each agreed to serve a wizard in exchange for the right to rule once his wizard wins the land.
It may not look like much of a "world" to you, but to each hero, the land holds some personal promise of the future, and to each wizard it is much, much more.
Lead your wizard to victory, and make your hero happy!
This map is an alternate version of the "War of 8 Heroes" "wizards off" map, designed in the flavor of AoW1. Wizards are "on" this map.
I recommend you play the map with all human players only. Races are fixed, but spell spheres may be changed.

Map inspired by AoW1 map, "War of the 12 Mages." Special thanks to Greenmonster for this inspiration.
Its a very fast and furious map, with a very large starting position. Works reasonably well for pbem. I didn't care for it, but I tend to like a little development time before war starts. (In which case I know I shouldn't play a medium map with 8 players on it, but I wanted to try everything.)
