The calm coast region of Piranha Bay has for centuries been a tranquilized area, lacking conflict as there's really nothing of value here. It has always been a region where you look at the ugly breed, give a gold coin to a beggar, check in on a lousy tavern and drink a cheap bear.
But suddenly the place turns into the center of civilization as the oncoming invasion from the Halfling islands are predicted to strike just on Piranha Bay. A huge landing will take place a little more than a month from today.
This will not only bring mayhem and chaos upon the region, but the local landlords have already started mobilizing to have the best protection the farthest away from the coast when they come!

Additional Comments:
I hate this scenario playing as humans everything else on emperor this is a real test. Not only have 3 wizards too be terminated but a whole mob of halflings as well and guess who they all attack. It's one long battle but a good demonstration of the defensive value of many low level troops.
I had to be sneeky to win the thing.

You really have to think yor way through this one, especially for SP. Mindless "hack and slash" won't make it here.
Balance: 4
Everytime that I thought that I hand the game it hand, another enemy would pounce on me. I found paranoia to be a great virture.
Creativity: 4
It's great to see something that isn't coming straight from the "good vs. evil" and "middle-earth" clone bank.
Map Design: 4
Sprites and terrain were well done. A second level would have added more interest, however.
Story/Instructions: 3
Minus points for no real story line. Bonus points for a fun starting plot and fantastic Wizard discriptions.

This review comes from the now closed site aow2battleground.com. My review system there was a bit different, but I've tried to translate the ratings as good as I can.
Camelriders second map. This map is about a bunch of wizards that are about to get attacked by some evil halflings! You get a few days to build up your defence before there are short people with slingers all over the place... How difficult it is to win depends on your choice of wizard : Gioana is easy, Lieron and Bark are average and Cassandra is the hardest (in my opinion!).
Play this one, if not just for the pretty landscape!
Balance : 6
Balance between the wizards is ok, but the invading halfling forces are too weak! You get a lot of time to build up your defences, and halflings aren't exactly the best fighters... Perhaps they should arrive earlier or have better/more troops.
Graphic details : 9
This map looks very pretty. Details are great and the terrain has been raised.
Story/Instructions : 7
There's an opening story, and all the wizards have customized descriptions (which are nice reading). Not much in the game though.
Customization : 3
The wizards and a hero
Creativity : 6
Some more playtesting could have been done, then the halflings perhaps would have been stronger.
Fun : 8
Still very fun. When a map looks good you tend to keep playing just to check out the landscape...

Interesting map but too easy. The few attacking halflings can be wiped away too easy, the defenders of the cities are too weak.
Finishing time in PBEM: 26 rounds.

The orc player has no magic spheres. I cannot tell whether this is intentional.
