The Lords of Darkness have been preparing for a long time, and now they are ready to strike: A huge army of Orks has assembled in the east, where the fearsome entity only known as "Hate" has cowed the disparate orkish warlords and united all the tribes into a mighty force. In the dark depths below the world, Lord Maethorn, undisputed master of the Dark Elves, has bribed, cajoled and blackmailed the myriad Goblin dwellings to follow his command. He has made plans to end the dwarven realm under the mountain once and for all, and is also plotting the downfall of the Elven Court
On the southwestern seas, an armada of pirates has gathered, lured by the promise of easy conquest and plunder.
Now, they all descend on the beleagured Merchant Lords, the legendary realm of the Mountain King and their allies of the Elven Court. If the forces of darkness should prevail, these lands will never see the light of day again...
This scenario is designed for human players taking the roles of the Merchant Lords (Human, Cosmos) Mountain King (Dwarves, Earth), or Elfcourt (Elves, Life). At leat one player should play the Dwarves, as the AI inevitably abandons strong defensive positions and then gets overrun by the orkish, goblin and dark elven hordes.
Mountain King will bear the brunt of the Dark Ones initial offensive
Elfcourt is the only good power with sufficient mana to counter the evil global spells
Merchant Lords is postitioned to bolster the dwarven defence and gather the forces to retaliate against the Orks.
Both Observers and Hidden Masters are just leftovers from playtesting, they are allied with good and evil respectively and are in no position to participate in this struggle. If you just want to have a look how things are playing out, choose either, select 1 minute turns, and watch the slaughter... the dwarves are usually defeated around day 60!
Several (Hm, at least two dozen IIRC) events are programmed, Good Luck!
