This is a very very huge map,it takes some time to play it,depending on the players skill.
the main goal is to exterminate the Undeads, lead by Aiken Seer and supported by the Deathriders, second goal is to role the world.
There are many artifacts to find on this map and some of them are very powerful, but not so easy to get.
There are also many heros in the map,and you can have up to 15 heros to help you in your quest.
Its a hard world to gain manna in,so build up the cities.
The map is intended to play in emperor mode and is tested several times on emperor level, but it can also be played in lower levels.
Welcome to a huge slugfest and have some fun.
Many thanks to Blue for helping out with the story.

Because the map is very huge and very complex, the games will be very long. I do not recommend that scenario for multiplayer between humans, but I highly recommend it for patient solitary games. Playing in simultaneous turns mode often accelerates the game's pace, unless your computer has a slow processor (especially when the game has progressed a lot: the chip has a lot of variables to compute). It is very much worth your time if you have a lot of it to spend on a very rich and complex scenario.
Balance: 3
The 8th player, the Death-Mage, cannot be played by a human. It has been granted many powerful advantages that will eventually become very apparent. That is why I find the scenario somewhat unbalanced and too difficult. But if you see yourself as an AoW expert looking out for a challenge, then this scenario will put you to the test.

Lots of stuff and special events!
Map Design: 5
This huge and complex map is an artistic masterpiece! It must have taken a considerable amount of hours to create: the two levels are fully filled!
Story/Instructions: 5
The authors have created a sophisticated story-line to set-up the scenario.
Additional Comments:
I very much recommend this genius-level masterpiece to any solitary gamer who is patient, and who is already an experienced player of the AoW series.

I played this map as a PBEM game - 2 people vs. the computer. This was the most fun I've had playing AoW2. |

The only word I can think of to describe the playability is "wow". Replayability might be an issue, since it takes forever to finish a game :)
Balance: 5
With the exception of incursions from the undead (greatly overpowered, but well related to the story) it seems very well balanced.
Creativity: 5
Great special effects... I especially like the "angry map" points, such as the appropriate elemental storms when taking enemy resources.
Map Design: 5
Well laid out choke points, good enough defensibility to at least give you a few rounds to get your feet under you ;D
Story/Instructions: 5
Some of the scripted dialog is a bit corny, but it seems to work regardless.
Additional Comments:
Quite probably the absolutely best AOW2 map I've ever played! Bravo! |

This one is fun, but really doesn't stand out over others. It's worth playing if you want to try something new. No problems running it and no bugs.
Balance: 3
I only played as one side, but balance seems fine. Beefier independants (including heroes) guarding structures adds to the challenge, and the enemy CPU has some powerful stacks aggressively moving around the map. It might be a bit too difficult, though. Around day 10 a group of level 4-5 and a hero showed up and attacked my biggest town. I had about 12 low lev guys there and they autosurrendered. I restarted the game and was not attacked until around day 30.
Creativity: 4
Unique story, new ideas, some original poetry.
Map Design: 3
Pretty average here.
Story/Instructions: 2
This was a glaring butchery of the english language. I stopped trying to read it after the second or third message.
Additional Comments:
All in all very average. Maybe when it was first published this scenario stood out, but since then there have been quite a few to put it to shame.

Fun map with lots of ruins and crypts to explore.
Balance: 2
Good balance untill getting near the bad guy's HQ. Then the 7 Deathriders from Hell, with 20 in all stats, life stealing and all kinds of nasty strikes make it very difficult.
Creativity: 4
Nice background story, custom Wizards and lots of custom Heroes and Items.
Map Design: 4
Looks quite pretty and very detailed. Undeground looks just like overland and I feel the map was too open; no large bodies of waters or mountain ranges to make it more strategic.
Story/Instructions: 3
Some background story and some descriptions of various places.
Additional Comments:
Fun map untill the 7 Deathriders appear. Then it felt like a logistic nightmare to gather all my heroes to be able to defeat them, as regular units won't do.
Contrary to what the mapmaker says I found that lack of gold was a much bigger problem than lack of mana, since there are lots of magic vaults and large, guarded deposits of mana.[Edited on 12/14/06 @ 08:57 PM]
