This is my first map and I have not played it through, just the first hour or so. I tried to make the humans the aggressors, and the Evil side more defensive, to push the player to find Darktown and destroy it as well as the enemy. I tried to open up the map and not make it so linear... if anyone would like to try this out and test it... all comments are welcome as I am just learning!
I'm sorry to say that this map was rather boring. The reasons are:
- Way too many wide open spaces.
- Too little wizards
- I could summon (and recruit) endless amounts of hero's, which makes them non-special.
I'd say that for this map to become interesting to play it still needs lots of work. It especially needs more to do! i.e. lots more terrain objects, lots more towns, more opponents!

This review comes from the now closed site aow2battleground.com. My review system there was a bit different, but I've tried to translate the ratings as good as I can.
People, this is what happens when you are totally uninspired and still absolutely have to make an XL map. Why don't people make smaller maps if they can't handle it?
Don't play this one.
Balance : 1
Pretty hard to rate the balance when your main opponent are the confused independents running around. Your opponent is of course hiding in the underground, and you never get to meet his troops because you have quit playing before that.
Graphic details : 2
It doesn't get much worse... Some single trees here and there. But the terrain was actually raised at one location...
Story/Instructions : 2
There is a short "story" in the beginning, telling you that there's a dark town somewhere... A few pointless signs here and there.
Customization : 2
Only the 2 wizards.
Creativity : 1
Not much to say. I'd be surprised if it took longer than 20 minutes to create this map. And those 20 minutes were wasted.
Fun : 1
Bonus points :
Penalty points : -1

It would be nice to play a two player game if you could up date the map thanks
