Overlord Released + Poll Posted by swolte @ 4:12 PM Congratulations for Triumph Studios on the release of Overlord! We have felt it coming but its finally ready to be ordered. Please congratulate 'our' developers in this thread by Markgil.Chowguy came up with an appropriate idea for a new poll. The question is what reflects best your feelings towards Overlord! It should make an interesting poll! Get your predictions ready! ![]() The previous poll ended quite predictably. Almost half the people that voted indeed prefer Emperor setting for their AI. Squire was least popular!
Exclusive interview: Lennart Sas! Posted by swolte @ 12:47 AM Lennart Sas, the director of Triumph Studios has given us an interview on the imminent release of Overlord and the future of Triumph Studios. Overlord Demo released Posted by swolte @ 11:01 AM Taking control of a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the long-dead evil Overlord, the player emerges near death from the ruins of the old Overlord's Dark Tower. Only the player's actions will determine if they will rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord; it's all up to how bad they want to be in order to succeed ... evil or really evil! With a dark sense of humor, the game immerses players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy stories and characters. In a unique twist, players will have control over an army of Minions that will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for their new Overlord. Throughout the game players will actively control a horde of these gremlin-like creatures that will follow every bidding no matter how whimsical or life threatening it may be. (slightly corrected quote from Gamespy) Just received notification that a PC demo of Triumph Studios new game, Overlord, has been released! Try one of the links from this thread and take a minute to sign up on the codex website in order to finally see what Triumph Studios has been up to the last four years! Congrats and kuddos to our dev-team for this release! The final game won't be far now. ![]() ![]() Minimum Specification: ---------------------- - Windows XP - DirectX 9.0c - CPU: Pentium 2.4 GHz or Athlon XP 2400+ - 512 mb RAM - Graphics Card: GeForce FX5900 / Radeon 9500 or above - DirectX 9 Compatible Sound Card - 1.2 Gb Hard Drive Space
Gaming in Different Cultures - A Survey of Sorts Posted by ChowGuy @ 1:36 AM Angel Zen, HeavenGames' Chief of Technology, Exco Member, and all-around groovy guy, has started a thread in the Gaming Discussions Forum over at HG Main.
How do you think gaming is viewed in different cultures outside of the USA? StarCraft is very big in South Korea (so much so that they have musicals and dramas based on the game), MMOGs are very popular throughout Asia, and strategy games such as Knights of Honor, 1701AD, etc. are very popular in Europe; North America seems to be more about First Person Shooters - or is that all just a myth? It's for a project he's working on to bring in some PR for HG, and he's aprreciate any inputs you may have. |
