It is time to show mapmakers how much you appreciate the time they spend making maps for the community by taking part in voting in a competition to see what the best maps/mods around really are.
Head over here to nominate the maps that you think should win and be used to represent the very best that AoWH has to offer!

As suggested in our website comments forum, I've changed the Best of AoW2H link in our downloads archive to require the submissions to not only have a high rating, but also at least three ratings. The intention is to filter out a few odd contributions with possibly one single, too high, rating.

B.t.w., please submit a rating for maps you've played. Ratings and comments help both map authors (to improve) and players (to find good maps).

We have a new poll up at AoW2 Heaven that needs your vote! Which is your favorite of the evil races in AoW: Shadow Magic?

* Orcs
* Shadow Demons
* Undead

Our previous poll about favorite neutral race turned out to be a duel between Draconians and Humans, with Draconians as winner. The other three races weren't far behind either:
* Draconians [156 votes, 26%]
* Humans [147 votes, 24%]
* Tigrans [110 votes, 18%]
* Nomads [99 votes, 16%]
* Frostlings [96 votes, 16%]

I heard that CompUsa sells $9.99 "dual jewels" with among others Age of Wonders 1 and 2. If you haven't got them already, this might be a good time to buy them!
